This project consists of developing a new type of artificial retina. This retina is based on the use of pixelated structures made up of titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanotubes vertically aligned and nitrogen-doped, acting like artificial photoreceptors replacing degenerated natural photoreceptors, when the “intelligent” retina neural network partially persists, which is the case for approximately 50% of the cases of blindness in developed countries.
